Ke Huy Quan Reacts To His Fan-Raised Hollywood Return

As fans rally to support the actor for his already acclaimed role, Ke Huy Quan seems to have not lost a touch of perfectionism as he solemnly blends into his role as Waymond Wang, Evelyn Quan’s husband. Wang by Michelle Yeoh. In response to the deluge of fan reactions, Ke Huy Quan asserted,

“Having this as my comeback movie and getting this recognition and this warm embrace? I cried so much reading the comments. How many times does a man in his 50s get a chance like this? How often do the actors get a second act?”

However, that second act is just the beginning as the actor prepares for a role in the Marvel franchise in the upcoming multiversal season of madness and adventure in Loki Season 2.

The wonderful perspectives of Ke Huy Quan in Loki Season 2

At Disney’s D23 Expo 2022, Marvel chief Kevin Feige announced the arrival of Huy Quan in the new season of Loki as an important character. Although not much has yet been revealed about his role, it has been widely rumored that the actor could join the all-star cast as a TVA employee. It also puts him right next to Owen Wilson’s Mobius who is currently part of an altered reality after Sylvie Laufeydottir successfully kills The One Who Remains at the Citadel at the end of time.

Loki Season 2 will explore Tom Hiddleston’s titular antihero in the new reality as he struggles to reorient the multiverse and prevent catastrophe. As Marvel has already set the precedent for the coming of Kang the Conqueror and the ensuing multiverse saga, it looks like the Jonathan Majors, who debuted in the MCU via Loki Season 1 may also play a major role in what’s to come, perhaps even offering a transition to the larger, grander events of Phases Five and Six of the mainstream cinematic universe.

In the meantime, though, maybe the Multiversal Collapse could give Loki and Sylvie a chance to reunite and profess how “In another life, I would have really liked to do laundry and taxes with you.”

Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ in mid-2023.
