DANVILLE, CA – The Town of Danville Village Theater Art Gallery is pleased to offer a free screening of the 2002 film Frida (rated R), featuring Salma Hayek, at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Village Theater, 233 Front Street in Danville.
The film is described as a biopic of the daring and controversial life of artist Frida Kahlo. Set in Mexico City, this visually evocative film traces Frida’s life and relationships. Her avant-garde artistic, political and sexual attitudes are explored as we witness a passionate, alcoholic woman of the early 1900s, which earned an Oscar nomination for Salma Hayek. The film received an “R” rating.
Tickets are free but must be reserved by visiting www.danville.ca.gov/vtshows.
